Not one more
"Not One More" is an ongoing project focused on domestic violence and the crime of femicide—urgent issues that affect women across the globe.
Brazil is facing a silent epidemic that, year after year, claims lives, shatters families, and exposes the deep gender inequalities within society: femicide, defined by Brazilian law as the killing of women in contexts of domestic violence, family violence, or gender-based discrimination. Although femicide has been legally recognized in Brazil since 2015, the continuous rise in cases suggests the country still faces enormous challenges in preventing violence against women.
This tragedy leaves deep scars on families. Mothers, fathers, children, siblings, and friends are immersed in a pain that is hard to measure, facing not only the longing for their loved ones but also the void left by such extreme violence. The impact of femicide is long-lasting and goes beyond immediate grief, creating emotional scars that are invisible yet intensely present in the daily lives of those marked by this trauma.
This work denounces the brutal reality of domestic violence and femicide in Brazil, giving voice to women and families. Through powerful images and moving narratives, the project reveals not only the pain and the marks left by violence but also the strength, memory, and fight for justice.
