PRISCILA RIBEIRO
Priscila Ribeiro is a Brazilian documentary photographer and freelance photojournalist. Her work investigates social issues that traverse bodies, territories, and histories, addressing themes such as inequality, human rights violations, gender-based violence, and environmental justice.
A member of Women Photograph, she is an alumna of the VII Agency Photojournalism Program and a winner of the 2026 World Press Photo Contest in the Singles category for South America. She is currently developing an independent project that addresses housing vulnerability and ways of life in occupations and communities across Brazil.
Her practice is built on long-term relationships and close listening, seeking to understand the experiences of the people she photographs within their own contexts. Through photography, she connects individual stories with broader social issues, bringing visibility to realities that often remain unseen or misunderstood.
