Zica generation: 10 years later
A decade ago, Brazil witnessed the spread of the Zika virus and its devastating consequences. Hundreds of children were born with microcephaly, a condition that transformed their families' lives and raised questions about access to healthcare, inclusion, and rights. Ten years later, I documented how these children have grown, revealing not only the daily challenges but also the achievements and the strength that drives these families. Through images that capture their resilience, struggle, and love, this photo essay seeks not only to document but also to provoke reflection on the invisibility and the barriers faced by these children.
